The recycle bin allows you to recover files that were deleted from a data room. This feature can be activated per data room. If a user is granted access to an encrypted data room on DRACOON, the system first has to generate the keys. To create them, the user is guided through the process via a wizard. Once the user has generated the keys and created their personal password for them, the room administrator must still link the available data with this user, since they did not yet have access to the data in this room when it was uploaded. Yes, you can provide the SSL certificate yourself. In this case, you need to upload the certificate and the corresponding key to DRACOON.
As soon as files are located in a data room, the subsequent activation of client-side encryption is no longer possible for security reasons. Instead, simply create a new data room and activate client-side encryption for it – you can then transfer the desired files from the old data room to the new data room. From that point on, the files will be encrypted.
The classification of a file (public, for internal use only, confidential, and strictly confidential) is a purely visual method of categorizing files that provides a quick visual overview of how a file has been tagged. This classification does not have any effect on the method used to encrypt the file.
All files uploaded and downloaded via DRACOON are encrypted on the server and during file transfer by default. This encryption is always active. When activating the end-to-end encryption used by DRACOON, files are additionally encrypted on the client system, offering maximum security.
